The University of Hawaii at Hilo finished where it started at the 66th Annual Western Intercollegiate at the Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz, Calif.

The Vulcans turned in a final round 393 as they finished 14th with a 115-over-par 1,165 in the best five-of-six scores tournament. The squad followed an opening round 393 with a 379 in the two rounds of play on Saturday.

Texas captured the team title with a 10-over-par 1060. They were followed by Stanford (1064), UCLA (1067), USC (1089), California (1100), Oregon (1103), San Diego State (1121), UC Irvine (1122), San Jose State (1123), New Mexico State (1130), Hawaii (1136), Kansas (1138), Denver (1150) and Hawaii Hilo (1165).

Chris Shimomura and Dalen Yamauchi were tied for 62nd place at 21-over-par 231 to lead the Vulcans. Shimomura turned in rounds of 73-79-79 while Yamauchi opened with an 83 then back-to-back 74s.

Christian Agosto (82-73-79) and Corey Kozuma (80-76-78) were tied for 69th place at 24-over, 234. Jamie Hall was tied for 77th place with a 28-over, 238 (78-77-83) and Nick Matsushima was in 87th place at 40-over-par 250 (80-80-90).

Stanford’s Patrick Rodgers won the event with a 4-under-par 206 (67-71-68).
